Holy Stone Enterprise Co., Ltd. (Holy Stone) (TWSE: 3026), today announced its third-quarter result of 2018. Consolidated revenue totaled NT$5,056 million, and gross profit was NT$2,014 million, up 20% QoQ and 209% YoY; the gross profit margin reached 39.8%, up 2% QoQ (0.9 percentage point increase QoQ) and 108% YoY (20.6 percentage point increase YoY); operating profit was NT$1,440 million, up 21% QoQ and 470% YoY; net income was NT$1,164 million, up 22% QoQ and 438% YoY; net income attribution to parent company totaled NT$1,170 million, up 21% QoQ and 382% YoY; and earnings per share for third quarter totaled NT$7.41. The total EPS from Q1 to Q3 came up to NT$16.63 per share.
Distinguishing Q3 revenue by main product types: with the completion of passive components production capacity expansion, we saw beneficial performance in Q2. Thus, the revenue of passive components has remained 50% of Q3 revenue. The other product types are: Systems & Module at 19%, Others at 19% and Active Components at 12%.
Due to the Trade War between U.S and China, customers in Greater China area tend to be conservative on inventories. At the same time we will continue to beware of the external environment. Looking towards the future, Holy Stone will adjust product mix flexibly to meet market demand and serve customers with high-value products and service.
